The Black Queen vs Apocalyptic Princess

This piece is called The Black Queen by Aly Fell.

In my mind I have renamed this picture 'Apocalyptic Princess' as it somewhat reminds me a Walking Dead sort of scenario, hence a Post Apocalyptic world where it is the survival of the fittest. I probably wouldn't figure zombies into the mix as I wouldn't want to rip them off too much.
This kick-ass woman is most likely the leader of one of the surviving parties of whatever disastrous fate has befallen the human race.
She is quick witted and has not tolerance for anyone who would threaten the group. They depend on her to stay alive and she depends on them to stay sane. Well... Almost sane. Her anger is like a flash of lightning; terrifying up close and leaving a state of destruction in its wake.

Life's Blood

This is another image by Anne Stokes called 'Life's Blood'.

This picture somewhat reminds me of the old Celtic myths of the banshee. A beautiful young woman with silver blond hair, her screech warning of imminent death. As this image looks somewhat more sinister than the typical banshee fable, as she almost looks like she has mugged a Grim reaper. It could be either that she is a hybrid or she is a banshee spirit called forth out of anger for the purpose of revenge... Or something like that.
On the other-hand, there are legends that suggest that if you are the one to see the banshee then you are the one destined to die, meaning that the depiction of the banshee or even the grim reaper could have been misinterpreted as they are the ravings of those marked by death. Perhaps banshee's act the part of the reaper for those they scream for.

Hadie's Return (.... Sounds like Disney's Hercules Part 2)

So I do realise that it has been a while since my last post and this didn't bother me. Sure blogging is like an online journal but that means that this is open for public viewing and so only some of my inner thoughts are... appropriate to share.
I didn't think that I was actually going to start writing on here again but it seams as though it's actually a way that some of my friends keep an eye on me. That might sound a little over dramatic but the truth is that I do suffer from clinical depression and social anxiety disorder.
That's right I'm cooco for Coco pops! *Mwahaha.. cough.. choke... splutter*
Anyway... Onto brighter things.
Recently I have been starting to write again, a hobby of mine that has gone neglected for many moons now so I'm quite glad that it's back. I've got to say though that it's all down to my friend at work as she has been inspiring me to write everything down, even if nothing makes sense. I've got to say that I have been enjoying this though as it takes all the jumbled up story plots and random characters in my head and shows them into a written form so I don't have to constantly obsess over them.
At present there are a few artists that I like who's creations have been inspiring me. Even if it's only the one word I think I might add a few on here and just list words, phrases or ideas that come to mind when I see them.

Mekakucity Actors Review

Ok so as I said in my previous entry the first few minutes of this anime confused me but that was because I hadn't really read through the plot properly... whoops. Once I got into it through I really started to enjoy it.
If you're just looking for a feel good romp with basic character's I wouldn't look to this one. Although the synopsis may suggest that its just another fantasy anime with supernaturally inclined teenagers... that isn't exactly the case. The farther I got through this anime the darker it got, some of the characters I knew became almost unrecognisable due to revelations of their pasts and new plot twists and the feeling the anime had given me in the beginning had become almost sinister.
Rant over! Basically it was an anime that I enjoyed watching but the ending left me with quite a few questions that I don't think will be answered in a 2nd season.

Review Dilema

OK so I've come to realise that doing an episode by episode review without spoilers is basically impossible.... or at the very least kinda pointless. The further on in the series I got (yeah I binged watched it last night) the more I realised that it would probably just be the same things repeated over and over again. SOOOOO.... I'm just gonna do it in a one-er. (Please ignore my awful spelling and grammar)
The reason I was determined to do an episode by episode review in the beginning was because with some anime I loose interest with the plot halfway through and give up. Oh well I guess in the future when I'm reviewing an anime I might do a first impressions piece then an official review.
Alright thanks for putting up with my ramblings Ill get back to reviewing now. Cheers.

Mekakucity Actors Episodes 1-2 Review

Alright so I am currently watching the anime Mekakucity Actors and since I have some free time at work I'll probably be doing an on going review of the series. As of yet (11/09/16) I have seen 2 episodes..... yeah reality interrupted in the form of needing to get to work. *Pouts

Synopsis:   On the hot summer day of August 14, Shintarou Kisaragi is forced leave his room for the first time in two years. While arguing with the cyber girl Ene who lives in his computer, Shintarou Kisaragi accidentally spills soda all over his keyboard. Though they try to find a replacement online, most stores are closed due to the Obon festival, leaving them with no other choice but to visit the local department store. Venturing outside makes Shintarou extremely anxious, but the thought of living without his computer is even worse. It's just his luck that on the day he finally goes out, he's caught in a terrifying hostage situation.

Luckily, a group of teenagers with mysterious eye powers, who call themselves the "Mekakushi Dan," assist Shintarou in resolving the situation. As a result, he is forced to join their group, along with Ene. Their abilities seem to be like pieces of a puzzle, connecting one another, and as each member's past is unveiled, the secret that ties them together is slowly brought to light. (MyAnimeList.Com)

Episode One:
Alright so episode one is usually the make or break point for me. I know that some anime takes at least a couple of to get into the swing of things, but I'm sorry if the first episode doesn't capture my attention and interests me, then I'm not continuing with the series.
Mikakucity Actors' first episode nearly lost my interest within the first couple of seconds but that was mainly just me being confused, having not really read through the plot properly... oops my bad.
Thankfully though I stuck with it as it got really interesting. The first line of the synopsis basically describes everything in this episode, what it doesn't describe though the craziness of the "Mekakushi Dan" members though.  I wont go into details and spoil it for you but I am loving these characters so far. The ending left me with questions and wanting more.

Episode Two:
Episode two disappointed me as it didn't answer my questions that Episode One left me with, however by doing so they've managed to maintain my interest.
This episode does not revolve around the supposed main character Shintarou Kisaragi but instead opts to introduce a new character entirely and shows their introduction to the Mekakushi Dan (though I suppose at only episode two it isn't difficult to bring in someone you've not seen before).
I have to say though despite the name "Mekakushi Dan" being mentioned in the synopsis, it hasn't actually been mentioned in the anime itself yet. Eh I suppose that's just me getting ahead of myself though.

Stay Tuned for more....

Peter Pan Syndrome

As of Wednesday I will be living on my own for the first time in my life.... damn it. Yep that's right I have classic Peter Pan syndrome and wanted nothing more than my mother to take care of me forever.
Unfortunately though we recently found out that my mother has a tumor and so when her boyfriend suggested her moving in with him so he look after her I supported this and decided to finally move out. Don't get me wrong though I'd been looking forward to standing on my own two feet for years... until I remember all of the responsibilities this entails, ugh.
The place that I'm moving into is a house-share rented to me by a live-in landlord who seams really nice. The thing is though there is another room next to mine and I have yet to meet the individual who's going to be moving in there. All I know about her is that she's moving in on the 18th and she works on a shift rota. God I hope she's not a b*tch.
My rooms starting to look more and more bare but I'm glad that I've finally managed to paint the walls back.... By the way what dumb tw*t though it was a good idea to paint the walls bright red. *coughs and looks around to find someone to pin it on
